SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT THE
NORTHWEST HALF OF NEW MEXICO THROUGH THE LATE AFTERNOON. THE
SHOWERS WILL BE FAST MOVING AND PROVIDE GUSTY TO VERY GUSTY
WINDS. GUSTS HAVE BEEN OBSERVED AS HIGH AS 67 MPH WITH
REGULAR GUSTS BETWEEN 45 TO 55 MPH. LOOK FOR SOME LOCALIZED BLOWING
DUST WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES DOWN TO 2 MILES. PRECIPITATION
AMOUNTS WILL VARY CONSIDERABLY BUT AMOUNTS UP TO A TENTH OF AN INCH
WILL IMPACT THE WEST SLOPES OF THE JEMEZ AND LOWER SAN JUAN
MOUNTAINS AS WELL AS THE CHUSKAS. RAIN AND OCCASIONAL ICE OR SNOW
PELLETS WILL BE FOUND ACROSS THE LOWER ELEVATIONS WHILE SNOW WILL
IMPACT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8500 FEET. AN ADDITIONAL 1 INCH OF SNOW
WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN THROUGH 6 PM.

EAST SLOPES OF THE SANGRE DE CRISTOS EASTWARD ACROSS THE PLAINS
THROUGH THE REST OF THE AFTERNOON. PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS THROUGH 6
PM WILL GENERALLY BE FIFTEEN HUNDREDTHS OR LESS. HARDING AND UNION
COUNTIES WILL REMAIN FAVORED. RAINFALL WILL BE THE MAIN
PRECIPITATION TYPE THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON ALTHOUGH A CHANGEOVER TO
SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE NEAR THE COLORADO BORDER AND OVER THE
HIGHEST TERRAIN.
