A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHING FROM THE
NORTHERN SACRAMENTO MOUNTAINS NORTHEAST TO SOUTHERN HARDING COUNTY
WILL CONTINUE MOVING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST AROUND 15 MPH. THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL WILL REMAIN FOCUSED OVER THE EAST CENTRAL PLAINS
AROUND FORT SUMNER AND HOUSE...AND WILL MOVE EAST WITH TIME. THIS
MAIN AREA COULD PRODUCE BETWEEN AN INCH TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL
OVER THE NEXT 2 HOURS. RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS FOR THE WEAKER STORMS
WILL GENERALLY BE LESS THAN HALF AN INCH OVER THE SAME PERIOD. GUSTY
WINDS AND CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE WITH ANY STORM.
FLASH FLOODING REMAINS A THREAT DUE TO SATURATED GROUNDS AND
CONTINUED HEAVY RAINS...SO AVOID DRIVING ACROSS WATER COVERED ROADS
OR OTHER LOW LYING AREAS. THROUGH 830AM...AREAS THAT WILL BE
IMPACTED BY THE HEAVY RAINS INCLUDE INTERSTATE 40 BETWEEN SANTA ROSA
AND THE TEXAS BORDER...HOUSE...FORT SUMNER...AND RAGLAND.
