ISOLATED SHOWERS WITH A STRAY THUNDERSTORM OR TWO WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE VERY SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST AND EAST OVER WESTERN NEW MEXICO AS
WELL AS THE LOWER RIO GRANDE VALLEY DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
THROUGH 2 AM MDT...MOST OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE SHORT LIVED WITH
OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...MODERATE RAIN AND GUSTY
OUTFLOWS AND WILL FAVOR THE AREA IMPACT THE AREA FROM EL MORRO TO
ACOMA. LIGHT SHOWERS WILL EXTEND FROM EL MORRO TO GRANTS AND SOUTH TO
QUEMADO WITH ADDITIONAL SHOWERS IN WESTERN SOCORRO COUNTY INCLUDING
ALAMO...MAGDALENA AND DUSTY. OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES WILL PRODUCE SUDDEN
AND ERRATIC WINDS AND POSSIBLY TRIGGER ADDITIONAL STORMS. OUTSIDE OF
THUNDERSTORMS...RAIN AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY BE LIGHT...FROM A FEW
HUNDRETHS TO ONE OR TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH.

AND SOME WILL BE STRONG ENOUGH TO PRODUCE LOCAL HEAVY RAIN...SMALL
HAIL...GUSTY WINDS TO 50 MPH AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. FAVORED AREAS
INCLUDE SOUTHERN CHAVES COUNTY INCLUDING ROSWELL AND DEXTER AS WELL
AS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY. ELSEWHERE...SPOTTY SHOWERS
COULD PRODUCE A FEW HUNDRETHS OF AN INCH OF RAIN. ROADS COULD
BE IMPACTED WITH AREAS OF STANDING WATER OR FAST MOVING FLOWS OVER
LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
