COVERAGE OVER FAR NORTH-CENTRAL TO INCLUDE THE SANGRE DE CRISTO RANGE
AND ESPECIALLY THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF NEW MEXICO. THROUGH 600 PM...
AREAS FROM COSTILLA AND VERMEJO PARK TO RATON PASS AND THE FAR
NORTHEAST PLAINS TO INCLUDE FOLSOM...DES MOINES AND CLAYTON WILL BE
FAVORED FOR WETTING PRECIPITATION.  SNOW WILL FALL AT RATON PASS...
BOBCAT PASS AND PALO FELCHADO PASS BUT IMPACTS TO TRAVEL WILL BE
MINIMAL. A PASSING SHOWER WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE AS FAR WEST AS
CHAMA AND TAOS...AND AS FAR SOUTH AS THE SANTA FE AREA. AN
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM CANNOT BE RULED OUT ALONG THE INTERSTATE 25
CORRIDOR BETWEEN SPRINGER AND LAS VEGAS...AND AREAS EAST TO INCLUDE
THE CANADIAN RIVER ESCARPMENT. STRONG NORTH AND NORTHEAST WINDS
GUSTING BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH AT TIMES WILL PREDOMINATE IN WAKE OF A
COLD FRONT THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE UNSETTLED WEATHER.

JUST BEFORE 400 PM  WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH SOUTHWARD ON THE EAST
CENTRAL PLAINS OF NEW MEXICO THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON.
THROUGH 600 PM SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY A THUNDERSTORM OR TWO WILL BE
POSSIBLE ALONG AND NORTH OF THE SOUTHWARD-SURGING COLD FRONT.  OF
GREATER SIGNIFICANCE WILL BE AT LEAST 2 TO 3 HOURS OF STRONG
NORTHERLY WINDS THAT WILL ACCOMPANY THE FRONTAL PASSAGE. SUSTAINED
SPEEDS GENERALLY IN THE 25 TO 30 MPH RANGE WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS UP
TO 50 MPH ARE TO BE EXPECTED BETWEEN 400 PM AND 800 PM.
