ALBUQUERQUE METRO THIS MORNING...WITH THE STRONGEST WINDS NEAR
GAPS INTO THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF
CENTRAL NEW MEXICO...

.A COLD FRONT IS RACING ACROSS NEW MEXICO FROM EAST TO WEST
PRODUCING GAP WINDS INTO THE CENTRAL VALLEYS. SOME OF THE
STRONGEST PEAK WIND GUSTS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE EASTERN FOOTHILLS
FROM THE PLACITAS AREA SOUTHWARD THROUGH EASTERN VALENCIA AND
SOCORRO COUNTIES BEFORE MID MORNING SUNDAY.

  CONSISTING OF PORTIONS OF THE ALBUQUERQUE METRO AREA...
  PLACITAS...AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF VALENCIA COUNTY.

* WINDS...EAST AT 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS REACHING 50 MPH. THESE
  STRONGER WINDS ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND EAST OF THE INTERSTATE 25
  CORRIDOR.

* TIMING...EAST GAP WINDS WILL BE STRONGEST THROUGH MID DAY TODAY
  AND WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE WHILE REMAINING GUSTY THROUGH THE
  AFTERNOON.

* VISIBILITY...NO RESTRICTIONS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS MAY BE ENCOUNTERED
  ALONG NORTH SOUTH ORIENTED ROADWAYS...SUCH AS TRAMWAY BOULEVARD
  AND INTERSTATE 25. LAWN FURNITURE... TRAMPOLINES AND OTHER LOOSE
  OUTDOOR OBJECTS MAY BE LOFTED OR TOSSED.

  DECREASE DURING THE AFTERNOON.

* VISIBILITY...NO RESTRICTIONS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS CROSS WINDS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF
  INTERSTATE 25 NEAR AND SOUTH OF SANTA FE AND THROUGH VALENCIA
  AND SOCORRO COUNTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN STRONG GUSTS NEAR
  CANYONS AND GAPS.
