FROM 3 PM UNTIL 10 PM FOR AREAS FARTHER WEST, DUE TO STRONG WIND
AND LOW HUMIDITY...

.A weather pattern conducive for large fire growth will develop
Sunday through Wednesday as a broad trough develops over the
western United States keeping the flow over New Mexico dry and
windy. The strongest winds and critically low humidities Sunday
will favor the central mountain chain and northeast highlands
westward. Then, humidities will plummet over eastern areas as well
on Monday. Winds will strengthen over central and eastern areas
late Monday morning, but not until mid afternoon farther west.

MONDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Weather Watch...which is in effect from Monday afternoon through
Monday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West Central
  Mountains (Zone 105), and West Central Basin and Range (Zone
  109) Sunday from noon until 10 PM MDT, and Monday from 3 PM
  until 10 PM.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...On Sunday, southwest at 20 to 35 mph with gusts
  up to 55 mph. On Monday, west at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to
  40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8-18 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly
  and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme
  fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be
  done.

Monday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...The northern and central mountains (Zones 120,
  122, and 124) below snowpack, and the Rio Grande Valley (Zones
  121 and 106) on Sunday from noon until 10 PM MDT, and from 11 AM
  until 10 PM on Monday.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...On Sunday, south and southwest 20 to 35 mph with
  gusts up to 50 mph. On Monday, west 20 to 35 mph with gusts up
  to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7-20 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly
  and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme

  30 percent around Capulin. On Monday, 7 to 9 percent.
