...A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT TODAY ACROSS CENTRAL AND
EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE AREA BECAUSE OF GUSTY...UNSTABLE AND VERY
DRY CONDITIONS...

.Critical fire weather conditions are expected today over much of
central and eastern New Mexico due to gusty winds, extremely dry
conditions and an unstable atmosphere.

...RED FLAG WARNING IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has cancelled the Red
Flag Warning.

Although windy and very dry conditions are forecast today across
the Northwest Plateau, the potential for large fire growth is low
due to a relatively stable atmosphere with below normal
temperatures forecast.

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO
8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* AREA AND TIMING...Sandia, Manzano, and Gallinas Mountains, the
  Middle Rio Grande Valley as well as the East Central Plains
  from late this morning until this evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 40
  mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8 to 12 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.
