...SLICK TRAVEL CONDITIONS ALONG INTERSTATE 40 FROM TIJERAS
CANYON EAST TO SANTA ROSA...

The combination of light snow, low visibility, areas of freezing
fog, and very cold temperatures along the Interstate 40 corridor
east of Albuquerque is creating hazardous travel conditions early
this morning. Motorists traveling on Interstate 40 will encounter
icy travel conditions from Tijeras Canyon to Edgewood, Moriarty,
Clines Corners, and Milagro. U.S. Highway 285 will also be slick
between Vaughn, Clines Corners, and Santa Fe. Snow accumulations
will average 1 to 3 inches with visibility below one quarter mile
at times. Allow extra time to reach your destination this morning
and make alternate plans if possible. For the latest road
conditions, visit nmroads.com, dial 511, or 1.800.432.4269.
