A NORTHEAST PACIFIC STORM WILL MOVE FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TO THE
FOUR CORNERS REGION DURING CHRISTMAS DAY...AND MAKE A VERY SLOW
DRIFT ACROSS NEW MEXICO THROUGH THE DAY ON FRIDAY HEADING INTO THE
WEEKEND.

CURRENT FORECASTS SHOW CHRISTMAS DAY SNOW STARTING OVER NORTHWEST
NEW MEXICO WILL EXPAND COVERAGE TO ALL OF CENTRAL AND WESTERN NEW
MEXICO CHRISTMAS NIGHT...WITH SNOW COVERAGE CONTINUING OVER
NORTHERN AND NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO THROUGH THE DAY ON FRIDAY.
TEMPERATURES WILL TURN SHARPLY COLDER ON FRIDAY...WITH COLD DAYS AND
COLDER NIGHTS CONTINUING THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE HOLIDAY
WEEKEND.

ALTHOUGH UNCERTAINTY REMAINS ON THE EXACT TRACK AND TIMING OF THIS
ROUND OF WINTER WEATHER ON THE LONG TRIP FROM THE NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA COAST TO NEW MEXICO...THOSE WITH OUTDOOR OR TRAVEL PLANS
