This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central South Dakota, north
central South Dakota and northeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Very dry conditions today, with gradually increasing winds through
the afternoon and evening. Winds will peak north of highway 212
between 30 and 40 mph this afternoon and evening, and only around 25
mph late this afternoon south of highway 212. The result will be
very high fire danger for this afternoon and evening. Additionally,
the fire threat will be exacerbated by a wind shift from west to
northwest as a front moves through this evening and during the early
overnight hours with more widespread wind gusts of 20 to 35 mph.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Sisseton hills downslope winds will develop late this afternoon
through the evening and early overnight hours before a front comes
through and shifts winds to the northwest. Peak wind gusts are
expected from 40 to 50 mph. Breezy conditions earlier in the day,
these stronger winds in the afternoon/evening and low humidity will
result in very high fire danger for today.
