...STRONG STORM TO IMPACT THE WESTERN BERING SEA STARTING
MONDAY...

A STORM WILL PUSH INTO THE WESTERN BERING SEA BY MIDDAY MONDAY AS
AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR KAMCHATKA BEGINS TO RAPIDLY
INTENSIFY. A LARGE SWATH OF 50 TO 60 KT WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
IMPACT MUCH OF THE WESTERN BERING SEA LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. HURRICANE FORCE WIND GUSTS ARE POSSIBLE FROM THE
WESTERN TO CENTRAL ALEUTIANS WITH BOTH THE LEADING WARM FRONT AND
THE COLDER SOUTHWEST WINDS WRAPPING AROUND THE LOW.

HIGH SEAS WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY THIS SYSTEM IN THE RANGE OF 25 TO
35 FT WITH EVEN HIGHER SEAS ALONG THE MAIN PATH OF THE SURFACE LOW.
DUE TO THE TROPICAL NATURE OF THIS SYSTEM, MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAINFALL WILL ACCOMPANY THIS SYSTEM. MARINERS WHO PLAN TO VOYAGE
ACROSS THE WESTERN BERING SEA THIS UPCOMING WEEK ARE URGED TO
CLOSELY MONITOR THE SITUATION.
