.NOW...
Showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous this evening
across the western two-thirds of the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles. Individual storms will move north northeast at 35 MPH
while the area of thunderstorm activity moves slowly east. Through
6 PM, areas west of a line from Hereford to Elkhart will receive
rain, with the showers and thunderstorms advancing to a line from
Canyon to Guymon by 9 PM. Heavy rains will be the main threat from
the thunderstorms, with hourly rainfall amounts of one-half inch
or more likely with the stronger storms. Additional rain is
expected later tonight and Sunday as the area of thunderstorm
activity continues to spread east.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will move north
northeast at 35 MPH across the eastern one-third of the Texas and
Oklahoma Panhandles this evening. Through 9 PM, hourly rainfall
amounts up to one-quarter inch can be expected. Additional rain is
expected later tonight and Sunday as an area of thunderstorm
activity over western parts of the Panhandles spreads east.
