...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON INTO
THE EARLY EVENING FOR THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE AND THE WESTERN HALF
OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE AND THE WESTERN HALF
OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...SOUTHWEST WINDS NEAR 30 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP
  TO 55 MPH ARE LIKELY AS A DRYLINE SHIFTS EAST ACROSS THE AREA
  TODAY.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...MINIMUM AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES
  WILL DROP TO AROUND 18 PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON.

* TIMING...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BEGIN AROUND 12
  NOON TODAY AND END AT 6 PM THIS EVENING.

OUTDOOR BURNING AND ACTIVITIES THAT CAUSE OPEN SPARKS OR FLAMES
ARE DISCOURAGED. FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT
WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
LARGE GRASS FIRES.
