THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS CANCELLED THE WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY.

LIGHT SNOW HAS ENDED ACROSS THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL TEXAS AND
OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES. THEREFORE THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN
AMARILLO HAS CANCELLED THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THAT WAS IN
EFFECT FOR THIS AREA THIS MORNING.

MORNING...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...BLOWING SNOW...AND STRONG
WINDS REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING.

* EVENT...LIGHT SNOW WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES CONTINUE TO
  MOVE ACROSS THE EASTERN TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES. IN ADDITION
  STRONG WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS WILL CAUSE BLOWING
  SNOW...REDUCING VISIBILITIES TO AROUND ONE MILE OR LESS AT TIMES IN
  LOCALIZED AREAS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE THIS MORNING BEFORE EXITING THE AREA
  AROUND 10 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...ROADS MAY BECOME SNOW PACKED AND ICY. AREAS OF
  BLOWING SNOW MAY RESULT IN REDUCED VISIBILITIES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR
FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
