...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR PHILLIPS AND SEDGWICK COUNTIES
UNTIL 900 PM MDT...

At 757 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles northwest of Julesburg to 3 miles east
of Highland Center, or along a line extending from 9 miles southeast
of Chappell to 12 miles west of Holyoke. Movement was east at 20 mph.

Dime size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Holyoke, Julesburg, Ovid, Paoli, Amherst, Pleasant Valley and
Sixteen-Mile Corner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

northeastern Colorado.
