000 FZUS51 KBOX 170856 CWFBOX Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Taunton MA 456 AM EDT Sun Sep 17 2017 COASTAL WATERS FROM THE MERRIMACK RIVER MA TO WATCH HILL RI OUT TO 25 NM ANZ200-172115- 456 AM EDT Sun Sep 17 2017 .Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters... A weak frontal system will remain across the waters today. Seas will continue to build as Hurricane Jose slowly moves north during the next 72 hours. Wind and rain effects are possible, especially across the southern waters to east of Cape Cod Tuesday into Wednesday. However, the full extent of these impacts and their timing remains dependent on the still uncertain storm track. It remains uncertain how close Jose will come to the coastal waters and its specific intensity. Mariners should monitor the latest forecasts from the National Hurricane Center at www.nhc.noaa.gov. For information on possible hazardous weather beyond the 24-36 hour forecast period, please visit www.weather.gov/boston and follow the Current Hazards link above the map on the left. $$ ANZ250-172115- Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary- 456 AM EDT Sun Sep 17 2017 .TODAY...SE winds around 5 kt, increasing to 5 to 10 kt this afternoon.
