Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
408 PM EDT Sun May 5 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Showers slowly overspread MA/CT/RI Sunday from west to east and
continue Sunday night. Any lingering rain Monday morning over
Cape Cod and the Islands, gives way to drier and mild weather
Monday afternoon. A few isolated showers are possible late Monday
afternoon and evening, then dry overnight.

Minimum relative humidity Sunday afternoon will range from
65-75%, except 75 to 85 percent across western MA/CT.

.OUTLOOK...Tuesday through Friday...

High pressure brings dry and warm conditions Tuesday. Then a
stalled frontal boundary sets up over southern New England
Wednesday into next weekend, resulting in periodic showers,
cooler temperatures and onshore winds.
