A FEW HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS MAY RESULT IN A QUICK 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATING IN A SHORT PERIOD WITH ROADS BECOMING SNOW COVERED QUICKLY. THE GREATEST RISK FOR THESE HEAVIER SHOWERS ARE OVER WESTERN CONNECTICUT AND MASSACHUSETTS DURING THE MORNING AND THEN OVER SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF MASSACHUSETTS AND RHODE ISLAND DURING THE AFTERNOON.
