...RAIN CHANGING TO SNOW LATER THIS MORNING ACROSS CAPE COD AND
THE ISLANDS WITH MINOR ACCUMULATIONS...

AT 830 AM THE RAIN/SNOW LINE WAS LOCATED ALONG THE SOUTH COAST OF
MASSACHUSETTS AND RHODE ISLAND. THIS LINE WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY
TRANSITION SOUTHEAST AS THE MORNING PROGRESSES...RESULTING IN
RAIN CHANGING TO SNOW ACROSS CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS. SNOW WILL
FALL MODERATELY AT TIMES WITH SNOW ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM A
COATING TO POSSIBLY UP TO 2 INCHES BEFORE SNOW ENDS AROUND MIDDAY.
WHILE TEMPERATURES ARE JUST ABOVE FREEZING SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
INITIALLY WILL BE CONFINED TO NON PAVED SURFACES. HOWEVER AS
TEMPERATURES COOL SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE ON ALL SURFACES ESPECIALLY
SECONDARY ROADS AND UNTREATED SURFACES. HENCE SLIPPERY TRAVEL
EXPECTED.

FARTHER INLAND ACROSS RHODE ISLAND AND SOUTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS
LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF BETWEEN 10 AM AND 11 AM WITH
ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS UP TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE.
