Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between the high over the Gulf
of Mexico and the low over the Plains will start to weaken
allowing for the southerly to southeasterly winds to weaken
during the day and into tomorrow. While hazardous conditions are
expected to persist over the Gulf waters to elevated wave heights.
Winds over the Laguna Madre should fall into the Small Craft
Exercise Caution conditions during the morning hours today.

bay.
.MONDAY...Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots increasing to 10 to
15 knots in the afternoon. Light chop on the bay becoming a
moderate chop in the afternoon. A slight chance of showers and
thunderstorms in the afternoon.
