FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/NORTHERN VERMONT AND
NORTHERN NEW YORK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT
447 AM EDT THU SEP 18 2014

...NO SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION EXPECTED THROUGH SATURDAY...

.DISCUSSION...
A COLD FRONT WILL DROP SOUTH ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA THIS MORNING.
IT WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY CLOUDS...BUT NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF
PRECIPITATION. EXPECT A FEW LIGHT SHOWERS OR SPRINKLES...MAINLY
OVER NORTHERN SECTIONS. DRIER AIR WILL WORK INTO THE REGION
THIS AFTERNOON AS A LARGE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM BUILDS SOUTHEAST
FROM CANADA. THIS HIGH WILL BE OVER THE NORTH COUNTRY TONIGHT INTO
FRIDAY. COLD TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT WITH WIDESPREAD
FROST/FREEZE CONDITIONS. AS THE HIGH MOVES OFF THE NEW ENGLAND
COAST FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY...IT WILL TURN MILDER AND REMAIN
MOSTLY DRY. THERE WILL BE AN INCREASING CHANCE OF SHOWERS BY
SUNDAY AS A FRONTAL SYSTEM MOVES EAST FROM THE GREAT LAKES.
