...End of the 2017 Frost/Freeze Program for Central Vermont and
the St. Lawrence Valley of New York...

The National Weather Service will discontinue the frost/freeze
program for the following counties until the spring of 2018:

In New York:
Northern St. Lawrence
Southwestern St. Lawrence

In Vermont:
Eastern Franklin
Eastern Chittenden
Eastern Addison
Rutland
Lamoille
Washington
Orange
Windsor

The median date of the first fall freeze is October 1st for these
locations and we are two weeks passed that date without a hard
freeze. People living in elevated terrain or near lakes within
these areas who have not had a freeze may wish to monitor the
latest forecast for freezing temperatures.

We will continue to issue Frost/Freeze products for the Champlain
Valley of New York and Vermont until a hard freeze occurs, or
until 2 weeks after the date of the average first fall freeze.
