A deepening storm system over the Central Plains will track
northeastward into the Upper Great Lakes today...then on into
northern Quebec tonight and Wednesday. This system will spread
light to moderate snow into our region this morning...with the
precipitation then mixing with and changing to rain this afternoon
and evening as warmer air overspreads the area. During the changeover
a period of sleet and freezing rain will be possible...mainly from
the Southern Tier northeastward across the Finger Lakes and North
Country. Some gusty winds will also accompany the approach and
passage of this system today and tonight...with calmer and drier
weather then returning during Wednesday.
