FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
301 PM EST FRI DEC 19 2014

.DISCUSSION...A SURFACE PRESSURE RIDGE EXTENDING THROUGH THE
MIDWEST WILL DIRECT DRY AIR INTO THE FORECAST AREA TODAY
BUT THERE WILL BE SOME HIGH CLOUDINESS WELL AHEAD OF LOW
PRESSURE ALONG THE WESTERN GULF COAST. MOISTURE WILL BECOME
DEEPER TONIGHT AS THE WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE TRACKS
EASTWARD ALONG THE GULF COAST. THE LOW WILL SHIFT OFF THE
SOUTHEAST COAST SATURDAY. THE PATTERN WILL SUPPORT AN
INCREASING CHANCE OF RAIN TONIGHT WITH RAIN OVER MUCH OF
THE AREA SATURDAY.

PATCHY FOG MAINLY NEAR BODIES OF WATER WILL OCCUR DURING
THE EARLY MORNING HOURS TODAY. AREAS OF FOG MAY OCCUR IN
AREAS OF RAIN LATE TONIGHT AND SATURDAY.

WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND VARIABLE THROUGH SATURDAY.
