FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
308 PM EDT FRI JUL 3 2015

.DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL REMAIN
DRAPED OVER THE REGION THROUGH SUNDAY...AS A SURFACE COLD FRONT
SETTLES SOUTH CLOSE TO THE NORTH-SOUTH CAROLINA BORDER. AMPLE
ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE WILL BE ON HAND AS WELL. THE DEVELOPMENT
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EACH AFTERNOON WILL DEPEND IN PART
UPON ENOUGH HEATING TO DESTABILIZE THE ATMOSPHERE.

A TIGHT ENOUGH PRESSURE GRADIENT TONIGHT WILL SUPPORT FAIR
DISPERSION THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. LOW-LEVEL MIXING TOGETHER
WITH CONSIDERABLE CLOUDINESS SHOULD INHIBIT ANY SIGNIFICANT FOG
FORMATION.

WINDS SATURDAY AFTERNOON WILL BE FROM THE WEST-SOUTHWEST...
AT 10 TO 20 MPH NEAR THE SURFACE...AND 20 TO 25 MPH IN THE MIXING
LAYER. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL RANGE FROM 40 TO 45 PERCENT.
