FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
242 PM EDT TUE JUL 28 2015

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT REMAINS CENTERED TO OUR WEST
AS UPPER LEVEL TROUGHS DROP DOWN THE BACKSIDE OF THE RIDGE INTO
OUR REGION. IN THE LOW LEVELS...A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL
CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE MIDLANDS AND CSRA. THIS SETUP
COMBINED WITH INCREASING MOISTURE INFILTRATING FROM THE EAST
WILL CONTINUE ALLOWING AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING THUNDERSTORM
AND SHOWER DEVELOPMENT.

LOW LEVEL WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE LIGHT AND VARIABLE WHILE
TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE PRIMARILY FROM THE EAST TO SOUTH AT
LESS THAN 10 MPH. DAYTIME MIXING HEIGHTS WILL BE ABOVE 5000
FEET...DROPPING QUICKLY TO LESS THAN 1000 FEET AFTER SUNSET.
EXPECT POOR OVERNIGHT DISPERSION WITH FAVORABLE CONDITIONS
FOR PATCHY EARLY MORNING LOW CLOUDS AND FOG.
