FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
233 PM EDT MON SEP 1 2014

.DISCUSSION...SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OFF THE COAST WILL
CONTINUE TO SUPPORT A MOIST SOUTHERLY FLOW OVER THE REGION THROUGH
MIDWEEK. THE UPPER RIDGE WILL WEAKEN A BIT TUE/WED ALLOWING FOR
POSSIBLY BETTER COVERAGE OF AFTERNOON CONVECTION. FAVORABLE
MIXING HEIGHTS BUT RELATIVELY POOR TRANSPORT WINDS LESS THAN 10
KNOTS. PATCHY FOG POSSIBLE IN LOW LYING AREAS AND NEAR BODIES OF
WATER BUT NOT EXPECTED TO BE WIDESPREAD.
