Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
257 PM EDT Tue Jun 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...A few showers and isolated thunderstorms may develop
through early this evening across the east Midlands. Otherwise,
high pressure will build across from the Ohio Valley to the
Mid-Atlantic coast tonight through Wednesday. This will keep
dry and cooler than normal weather in place through Wednesday
night.

A weak pressure gradient will support poor dispersion this evening
through early Wednesday morning, with good radiational cooling.
However, low-level moisture will be too shallow for any fog,
with just dew developing on surfaces overnight.

Surface winds Wednesday will be from the northeast 5 to 10 mph
after daybreak, then become southeast in the afternoon.
Transport winds will be similar. Relative humidities will drop
into the 35 to 40 percent range.
