FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
301 PM EDT TUE SEP 16 2014

.DISCUSSION...A SLOW-MOVING COLD FRONT APPROACHING FROM THE MOUNTAINS
WILL SHIFT SOUTHEAST OF THE AREA BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. CONSIDERABLE
LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE PIEDMONT WILL COMBINE WITH
WEAK TO MODERATE INSTABILITY...TO SUPPORT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A
FEW THUNDERSTORMS LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING.

THE MOIST SURFACE AIR COMBINED WITH DRIER AIR ALOFT AND POOR DISPERSION
TONIGHT WILL SUPPORT AREAS OF EARLY MORNING FOG WEDNESDAY. MOSTLY DRY
CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY...WITH MINIMUM
AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITIES NEAR 50 PERCENT.
