Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Columbia Sc
1026 AM EDT Wed Jun 21 2017

...All River Forecast Points were below Flood Stage this morning...

Rainfall during the past 24 hours ranged from a trace to 2.5 inches
with heaviest amounts generally in the Upstate and Pee Dee, affecting
mostly the Upper Broad, Saluda, Pee Dee and Wateree basins.

A stalled front, high levels of atmospheric moisture, and some upper
energy will lead to numerous showers and a few thunderstorms this
afternoon and evening. Locally heavy rain is possible in slow-moving
storms, and may lead to isolated urban and small stream flooding.

Tropical Storm Cindy approaches the TX/LA border and is expected to
make landfall within the next 24 hours. As she moves north and then
re-curves northeast into AR/TN, atmospheric moisture over the forecast
will remain high into the weekend. This will keep unsettled weather
and a continued chance for showers across the area. Average rainfall
of around one to two inches is likely during the next few days, but
all main-stem rivers are expected to stay below flood stage.
