...PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT...

...The Frost/Freeze Headline Program Has Ended for Much of
Northern Maine This Morning...

Overnight lows at or below freezing have been recorded over vast
majorities of Aroostook, Northern Penobscot, and Northern
Somerset counties this morning. Therefore, this marks the official
end of the frost/freeze headline season for these areas.

For those individuals whose garden may have been spared, like
those who reside immediately adjacent to rivers and lakes, or are
covering their gardens to preserve them a while longer, can still
get information on frost potential directly from the forecast.
This forecast information will continue to be provided until the
frost/freeze headline season has ended for all of East Central,
Downeast, and the Central/Southern portions of the Penobscot
river valley of Maine.
