...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A COASTAL
FLOOD ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT.

* LOCATION...SOUTH COASTAL SOUTH CAROLINA...INCLUDING DOWNTOWN
  CHARLESTON.

* TIDE LEVELS...TIDES ARE EXPECTED TO REACH 7.4 TO 7.6 FT MEAN
  LOWER LOW WATER IN THE CHARLESTON HARBOR.

* TIDAL IMPACTS...MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING IS EXPECTED.
  INUNDATION OF SALTWATER IN AND NEAR LOW-LYING COASTAL AREAS
  COULD LEAD TO SOME ROAD CLOSURES AND FLOODING OF PROPERTIES...
  ESPECIALLY IN DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON.

* TIMING...HIGH TIDE WILL OCCUR IN THE CHARLESTON HARBOR AROUND
  844 PM AND AROUND 956 PM IN THE BEAUFORT RIVER AT BEAUFORT. THE
  WORST FLOODING WILL OCCUR WITHIN AN HOUR EITHER SIDE OF HIGH
  TIDE.

* RIP CURRENTS...WIND AND WAVE CONDITIONS SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT
  OF VERY STRONG RIP CURRENTS. THESE RIP CURRENTS WILL BE LIFE
  THREATENING TO ANYONE WHO ENTERS THE SURF.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

NO ONE SHOULD ENTER THE SURF DUE TO LIFE THREATENING RIP
CURRENTS.

BE PREPARED FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF ROAD CLOSURES AND MINOR

* TIDE LEVELS...TIDES ARE EXPECTED TO REACH 9.1 TO 9.4 FT MEAN
  LOWER LOW WATER AT FORT PULASKI.

* TIDAL IMPACTS...SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING IS EXPECTED. INUNDATION
  OF SALTWATER IN AND NEAR LOW-LYING COASTAL AREAS COULD LEAD TO
  SOME ROAD CLOSURES AND FLOODING OF PROPERTIES. HIGHWAY 80
  BETWEEN TYBEE ISLAND AND WILMINGTON ISLAND IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN
  OPEN...ALTHOUGH WATER MAY COVER SOME PORTIONS...ESPECIALLY NEAR
  THE FORT PULASKI NATIONAL MONUMENT.

* TIMING...HIGH TIDE WILL OCCUR AT 853 PM IN THE SAVANNAH RIVER
  ENTRANCE. THE WORST FLOODING WILL OCCUR WITHIN AN HOUR EITHER
  SIDE OF HIGH TIDE.

* RIP CURRENTS...WIND AND WAVE CONDITIONS SUPPORT THE
  DEVELOPMENT OF VERY STRONG RIP CURRENTS. THESE RIP CURRENTS
  WILL BE LIFE THREATENING TO ANYONE WHO ENTERS THE SURF.
