...BRIEF SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING POSSIBLE IN DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON
THIS EVENING...

HIGH ASTRONOMICAL TIDES COMBINED WITH WEAK ONSHORE WINDS AND
LINGERING LIGHT RAINFALL WILL ALLOW TIDES IN THE CHARLESTON
HARBOR TO PEAK BETWEEN 6.8 AND 6.95 FT MEAN LOWER LOW WATER AROUND
HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING. THIS WILL RESULT IN MINOR SALT WATER
FLOODING IN SOME OF THE NORMALLY FLOOD PRONE AREAS OF DOWNTOWN
CHARLESTON. HIGH TIDE WILL OCCUR IN THE CHARLESTON HARBOR AROUND
802 PM EDT. THE RISK FOR SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING WILL LINGER
THROUGH 9 PM.
