MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A COASTAL
FLOOD ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT.

* LOCATION...SOUTH COASTAL SOUTH CAROLINA AND NORTH COASTAL
  GEORGIA...INCLUDING DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON AND TYBEE ISLAND.

* TIDE LEVELS...TIDES ARE EXPECTED TO REACH 7.2 TO 7.4 FT MEAN
  LOWER LOW WATER IN THE CHARLESTON HARBOR AND 9.0 TO 9.2 FT MEAN
  LOWER LOW WATER AT FORT PULASKI.

* TIMING...HIGH TIDE WILL OCCUR IN THE CHARLESTON HARBOR AROUND
  844 PM...AROUND 956 PM IN THE BEAUFORT RIVER AT BEAUFORT AND 853
  PM IN THE SAVANNAH RIVER ENTRANCE. THE WORST FLOODING WILL OCCUR
  WITHIN AN HOUR EITHER SIDE OF HIGH TIDE.

* TIDAL IMPACTS...SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING IS EXPECTED. INUNDATION
  OF SALTWATER IN AND NEAR LOW-LYING COASTAL AREAS COULD LEAD TO
  SOME ROAD CLOSURES AND FLOODING OF PROPERTIES...ESPECIALLY IN
  DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON. HIGHWAY 80 BETWEEN TYBEE ISLAND AND
  WILMINGTON ISLAND IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN OPEN.

* RIP CURRENTS...WIND AND WAVE CONDITIONS SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT
  OF VERY STRONG RIP CURRENTS. THESE RIP CURRENTS WILL BE LIFE
  THREATENING TO ANYONE WHO ENTERS THE SURF.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

NO ONE SHOULD ENTER THE SURF DUE TO LIFE THREATENING RIP
CURRENTS.

BE PREPARED FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF ROAD CLOSURES AND MINOR
FLOODING OF PROPERTIES. IF TRAVEL IS NECESSARY...DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
