AT 745 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL RAIN CONTINUING TO MOVE OVER THE SAME AREAS...ESPECIALLY BETWEEN SHADOWMOSS...NORTH CHARLESTON...HANAHAN AND GOOSE CREEK...INCLUDING I-26 AND I-526. AS MUCH AS 5 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN THIS AREA SINCE 5 AM. WE HAVE RECEIVED MULTIPLE REPORTS OF CLOSED ROADS AND ONE REPORT OF A WATER RESCUE FROM A STALLED VEHICLE. FLASH FLOODING WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST 9 AM. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE ONSHORE INTO DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON...FOLLY BEACH...JAMES ISLAND...SULLIVANS ISLAND AND MT PLEASANT THROUGH MID MORNING.
