...PATCHY DENSE SEA FOG DEVELOPING OVER THE NEARSHORE WATERS
INCLUDING CHARLESTON HARBOR...

Satellite, webcams and surface observations show patchy dense sea
fog is beginning to develop across the nearshore waters of
Southeast Georgia and Southeast South Carolina early this morning.
The risk for sea fog will linger through sunrise with
visibilities dropping below 1 NM at times. There is a possibility
that more widespread sea fog could develop and a Marine Dense Fog
Advisory could be needed for some areas over the next few hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners are urged to navigate with extreme care. If you must
navigate in these conditions, proceed with caution. Use proper
fog signals, including fog horns. Make sure all navigational
running lights are on.

Please relay any reports of sea fog to the Charleston or Tybee
Island Coast Guard stations and ask them to immediately forward
your report to the National Weather Service in Charleston.
