CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR FOG TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE MARINE AREA TONIGHT INTO MONDAY...GIVEN AN EXTREMELY MOIST ENVIRONMENT AND LOW STRATUS CLOUDS THAT LOWER FURTHER THROUGH THE NIGHT. FOG COULD BECOME DENSE DURING THE OVERNIGHT...AND IF THE COVERAGE OF THE FOG IS EXTENSIVE ENOUGH THEN A MARINE BASED DENSE FOG ADVISORY WOULD BE REQUIRED. THE PORT OF SAVANNAH MAY BECOME CLOSED TO NAVIGATIONAL TRAFFIC AS A RESULT. VISIBILITIES THROUGH 5 AM WILL BE AS LOW AS 3/4 TO 1 1/2 NM...BUT COULD LOWER TO LESS THAN 1/2 NM AND EVEN NEAR ZERO AT TIMES OVERNIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... MARINERS ARE URGED TO NAVIGATE WITH EXTREME CARE. IF YOU MUST NAVIGATE IN THESE CONDITIONS...PROCEED WITH CAUTION. USE PROPER FOG SIGNALS...INCLUDING FOG HORNS. MAKE SURE ALL NAVIGATIONAL RUNNING LIGHTS ARE ON. PLEASE RELAY ANY REPORTS OF SEA FOG TO THE CHARLESTON OR TYBEE ISLAND COAST GUARD STATIONS AND ASK THEM TO IMMEDIATELY FORWARD YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON. && $$
