...DENSE SEA FOG POSSIBLE ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS AND CHARLESTON
HARBOR TODAY AND TONIGHT...

AREAS OF SEA FOG ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS
OF SOUTH COASTAL SOUTH CAROLINA AND NORTH COASTAL GEORGIA TODAY
AND TONIGHT...AS WARM AND MOIST AIR FLOWS OVER THE CHILLY SHELF
WATERS. THE FOG IS FORECAST TO BECOME WIDESPREAD TONIGHT AND
IMPACT THE WATERS WITHIN 20 NM OF THE COAST...AS WELL AS THE
CHARLESTON HARBOR. VISIBILITY WILL DROP TO 1 NM OR LESS WITHIN ANY
PATCHES OF SEA FOG THAT DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY WITHIN 10 NM OF THE
COAST. HOWEVER...VISIBILITY COULD DROP TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES BY
TONIGHT AS THE SEA FOG BECOMES MORE WIDESPREAD. A MARINE DENSE FOG
ADVISORY MAY BE NEEDED FOR SOME AREAS LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS ARE URGED TO NAVIGATE WITH EXTREME CARE WHENEVER SEA FOG
IS COUNTERED. IF YOU MUST NAVIGATE IN THESE CONDITIONS...PROCEED
WITH CAUTION. USE PROPER FOG SIGNALS...INCLUDING FOG HORNS. MAKE
SURE ALL NAVIGATIONAL RUNNING LIGHTS ARE ON.

PLEASE RELAY ANY REPORTS OF SEA FOG TO THE CHARLESTON OR TYBEE
ISLAND COAST GUARD STATIONS AND ASK THEM TO IMMEDIATELY FORWARD
YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON.
