...PATCHY SEA FOG WILL IMPACT THE NEARSHORE WATERS OF SOUTHERN
SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS...

WARM AND VERY HUMID SOUTHERLY FLOW MOVING ACROSS THE SLIGHTLY
COOLER SHELF WATERS OF THE ATLANTIC HAS LEAD TO THE FORMATION OF
PATCHY SEA FOG ACROSS THE NEARSHORE WATERS THIS MORNING. THIS FOG
HAS BEEN OBSERVED AT THE BEACHES AND THE MOUTHS OF HARBORS AND
INLETS AT TIMES.

VISIBILITY IN THE FOG WILL BE DOWN AS LOW AS 1 OR 2 NM AT
TIMES...BUT LOCALLY DENSE FOG WITH VISIBILITY 1/2 NM OR LESS IS
POSSIBLE. SHOULD THE COVERAGE OF THE DENSE FOG BECOME WIDESPREAD
ENOUGH A DENSE FOG ADVISORY WOULD BE REQUIRED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS ARE URGED TO NAVIGATE WITH EXTREME CARE. IF YOU MUST
NAVIGATE IN THESE CONDITIONS...PROCEED WITH CAUTION. USE PROPER
FOG SIGNALS...INCLUDING FOG HORNS. MAKE SURE ALL NAVIGATIONAL
RUNNING LIGHTS ARE ON.

PLEASE RELAY ANY REPORTS OF SEA FOG TO THE CHARLESTON OR TYBEE
ISLAND COAST GUARD STATIONS AND ASK THEM TO IMMEDIATELY FORWARD
YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON.
