...PATCHY FOG WILL IMPACT THE CHARLESTON HARBOR AND NEARBY COASTAL
WATERS OF SOUTHERN SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA TONIGHT
INTO MONDAY...

AN EXTENSIVE AREA OF LOW STRATUS CLOUDS WILL LOWER THROUGH THE
NIGHT AND LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF AT LEAST PATCHY FOG FOR THE
CHARLESTON HARBOR AND THE SOUTHERN SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST
GEORGIA COASTAL WATERS OUT 20 NM. VISIBILITIES IN THE FOG WILL BE
BETWEEN 1 AND 3 NM.

THE FOG MAY EVENTUALLY BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD AND DENSE ENOUGH
WHERE A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MAY BE REQUIRED. THIS MAY LEAD TO
RESTRICTED VISIBILITIES SHUTTING DOWN NAVIGATIONAL TRAFFIC IN AND
OUT OF THE CHARLESTON AND SAVANNAH HARBORS.

FOG MAY PERSIST INTO MONDAY BEFORE STRONGER WINDS SCOUR OUT THE
FOG AND VISIBILITIES IMPROVE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS ARE URGED TO NAVIGATE WITH EXTREME CARE. IF YOU MUST
NAVIGATE IN THESE CONDITIONS...PROCEED WITH CAUTION. USE PROPER
FOG SIGNALS...INCLUDING FOG HORNS. MAKE SURE ALL NAVIGATIONAL
RUNNING LIGHTS ARE ON.

PLEASE RELAY ANY REPORTS OF SEA FOG TO THE CHARLESTON OR TYBEE
ISLAND COAST GUARD STATIONS AND ASK THEM TO IMMEDIATELY FORWARD
YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON.
