...AREAS OF FOG WILL IMPACT THE COASTAL WATERS TONIGHT...

THE COMBINATION OF THE LARGE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE
COOLER WATERS AND THE OVER RIDING WARM AND EXTREMELY MOIST AIR
MASS...PLUS LOWERING STRATUS CLOUDS WILL ALLOW FOR AREAS OF FOG
ACROSS THE SOUTHERN SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA COASTAL
WATERS TONIGHT...MAINLY AT AND NEAR THE COAST AND OUT 10 NM. AT
THE PRESENT TIME IT APPEARS THAT THE FOG WILL STAY NEAR OR JUST
OUTSIDE OF THE SAVANNAH AND CHARLESTON HARBOR EARLY ON...BUT
COULD SPREAD INTO THESE RIVERS OVERNIGHT.

VISIBILITY IN THE FOG WILL BE UNDER 2 NM...AT TIMES EVEN NEAR 1
NM. IF THE FOG BECOMES DENSE AND WIDESPREAD ENOUGH THEN DENSE FOG
ADVISORIES WOULD BE REQUIRED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS ARE URGED TO NAVIGATE WITH EXTREME CARE. IF YOU MUST
NAVIGATE IN THESE CONDITIONS...PROCEED WITH CAUTION. USE PROPER
FOG SIGNALS...INCLUDING FOG HORNS. MAKE SURE ALL NAVIGATIONAL
RUNNING LIGHTS ARE ON.

PLEASE RELAY ANY REPORTS OF SEA FOG TO THE CHARLESTON OR TYBEE
ISLAND COAST GUARD STATIONS AND ASK THEM TO IMMEDIATELY FORWARD
YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON.
