...PATCHY FOG WILL IMPACT THE COASTAL WATERS THIS AFTERNOON...

RECENT REPORTS FROM THE COAST AND AREA WEB CAMS INDICATE THAT
PATCHY FOG CONTINUES ACROSS THE LOCAL ATLANTIC WATERS...JUST
OUTSIDE THE CHARLESTON HARBOR AND THE SAVANNAH RIVER AREA. THIS
IS THE RESULT OF SLIGHTLY WARMER AIR BLOWING ACROSS THE
UNDERLYING COOL WATERS NEAR THE COAST.

VISIBILITY IN THE FOG WILL BE UNDER 2 NM...AT TIMES EVEN NEAR 1
NM. IF THE FOG BECOMES DENSE AND WIDESPREAD ENOUGH THEN DENSE FOG
ADVISORIES WOULD BE REQUIRED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS ARE URGED TO NAVIGATE WITH EXTREME CARE. IF YOU MUST
NAVIGATE IN THESE CONDITIONS...PROCEED WITH CAUTION. USE PROPER
FOG SIGNALS...INCLUDING FOG HORNS. MAKE SURE ALL NAVIGATIONAL
RUNNING LIGHTS ARE ON.

PLEASE RELAY ANY REPORTS OF SEA FOG TO THE CHARLESTON OR TYBEE
ISLAND COAST GUARD STATIONS AND ASK THEM TO IMMEDIATELY FORWARD
YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON.
