SURFACES...

PATCHY FREEZING RAIN AND DRIZZLE WILL CREATE SLICK SPOTS ON AREA
ROADS DURING THE REMIANDER OF THE MORNING...MAINLY NORTH OF A
SAINT GEORGE TO NORTH CHARLESTON TO MCCLELLANVILLE LINE. ICY
SPOTS WILL FORM MOST READILY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES BUT COULD
ALSO DEVELOP ON OTHER PAVED SURFACES INCLUDING SECONDARY
ROADS...PARKING LOTS...SIDEWALKS AND DRIVEWAYS. OTHER SURFACES
WHERE A VERY THIN COATING OF ICE MAY ACCUMULATE IS ON PARKED
CARS...TREE LEAVES...AND ROAD SIGNS.

SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF FREEZING RAIN IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...PROBLEMATIC TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN A FEW
LOCATIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IF YOU PLAN TO DRIVE OR WALK...REMAIN ALERT FOR SLICK SPOTS ON
PAVED SURFACES. SLOW YOUR DRIVING SPEED AND USE CARE WHEN WALKING
ON SIDEWALKS...DRIVEWAYS OR PARKING LOTS. SLIPS AND FALLS
CONSTITUTE A LEADING CAUSE OF INJURIES DURING WINTER WEATHER.
