...REMAIN ALERT FOR SLICK SPOTS ON ROADS AND OTHER PAVED
SURFACES...

TEMPERATURES ARE DROPPING TO 32 OR JUST BELOW OVER RURAL PORTIONS
OF NORTHERN BERKELEY AND CHARLESTON COUNTIES AS OF 645 AM THIS
MORNING...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE FRANCIS MARION FOREST TOWARD
JAMESTOWN AND SOUTH SANTEE. MEANWHILE...ANOTHER BATCH OF LIGHT
PRECEIPITAION SHOULD BE MOVING THROUGH BETWEEN NOW AND 8 AM. SOME
OF THIS RAIN MAY BEGIN TO FREEZE ON EXPOSED SURFACES...ESPECIALLY
TREES...DECKS...THE TOPS OF PARKED CARS...AND UNTREATED
SIDEWALKS. MOST MAIN ROADS ARE STILL RETAINING ENOUGH HEAT FOR
THEM TO BE WET...BUT ICY PATCHES CANNOT BE RULED OUT...ESPECIALLY
ALONG SECONDARY ROADS OFF OF U.S. ROUTE 17 AND STATE ROUTE 45
NORTHWEST OF MCLELLANVILLE. THE FREEZING LINE IS EXPECTED TO DROP
VERY SLOWLY SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE MORNING.

SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF FREEZING RAIN IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...PROBLEMATIC TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN A FEW
LOCATIONS...SO MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION.

IF YOU PLAN TO DRIVE OR WALK...REMAIN ALERT FOR SLICK SPOTS ON
PAVED SURFACES. SLOW YOUR DRIVING SPEED AND USE CARE WHEN WALKING
ON SIDEWALKS...DRIVEWAYS OR PARKING LOTS. SLIPS AND FALLS
CONSTITUTE A LEADING CAUSE OF INJURIES DURING WINTER WEATHER.
