...REMAIN ALERT FOR SLICK SPOTS ON ROADS AND OTHER PAVED
SURFACES...

LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CREATE SLICK SPOTS
ON AREA SECONDARY ROADS THROUGH 10 AM. AS OF 8 AM...THE FREEZING
LINE WAS NORTH OF A LINE ROUGHLY FROM HARLEYVILLE TO SUMMERVILLE
TO HUGEE TO SOUTH SANTEE. ICY SPOTS WILL FORM MOST READILY ON
BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES BUT COULD ALSO DEVELOP ON OTHER PAVED
SURFACES INCLUDING PARKING LOTS...SIDEWALKS AND DRIVEWAYS. THE
MAIN ROADS WILL GENERALLY RETAINI ENOUGH HEAT FROM YESTERDAYS
WARMTH TO REMAIN WET...BUT CAUTION IS STILL URGED AS ICY PATCHES
MAY STILL DEVELOP THROUGH THE MORNING.

SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF FREEZING RAIN IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...PROBLEMATIC TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN A FEW
LOCATIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IF YOU PLAN TO DRIVE OR WALK...REMAIN ALERT FOR SLICK SPOTS ON
PAVED SURFACES. SLOW YOUR DRIVING SPEED AND USE CARE WHEN WALKING
ON SIDEWALKS...DRIVEWAYS OR PARKING LOTS. SLIPS AND FALLS
CONSTITUTE A LEADING CAUSE OF INJURIES DURING WINTER WEATHER.
