...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF BEAUFORT...COLLETON
AND JASPER COUNTIES...

At 249 AM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Ladys Island to
Sun City, and moving northwest at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...excessive cloud to ground lightning.

  IMPACT...All outdoor activities should cease. Move indoors
           immediately.

Some locations in the path of these storms include...
Bluffton, Beaufort, Port Royal, Ridgeland, Clarendon, Jasper,
Grahamville and Lemon Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways.

Excessive cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
