.SOUTHWEST GALE FORCE WINDS IN THE WAKE OF A STRONG COLD FRONT
WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT...BEGINNING TO DIMINISH ON TUESDAY. THE
GALE FORCE WINDS WERE CAUSING LOW WATER ON THE WESTERN BASIN OF
LAKE ERIE WHICH WILL LAST THROUGH LATE TUESDAY.

A GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST TUESDAY. A LOW
WATER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST TUESDAY.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST 40 KNOT GALES WILL DIMINISH TO 30 KNOTS
  TUESDAY MORNING.

* WAVES:WAVES 6 TO 9 FEET WILL SLOWLY SUBSIDE THROUGH TUESDAY.

* LOW WATER: WATER LEVELS ON THE WESTERN BASIN OF LAKE ERIE ARE
  BELOW THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION. LATE MONDAY EVENING
  THE WATER LEVEL AT TOLEDO COAST GUARD WAS AROUND 32 INCHES BELOW
  LOW WATER DATUM AND THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION. THE
  WATER LEVEL COULD DROP TO ALMOST 4 FEET/48 INCHES BELOW LOW WATER
  DATUM OVERNIGHT BEFORE WATER LEVEL RETURN TO NORMAL LEVELS BY
  LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPER EQUIPMENT. MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER
EXPERIENCE SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE
CONDITIONS.

A LOW WATER ADVISORY MEANS WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE BELOW
THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION. VESSELS MAY BOTTOM OUT OR
BECOME GROUNDED. CONTACT THE COAST GUARD FOR THE LATEST WATER
LEVEL. MARINERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION OR CONSIDER WAITING
UNTIL WATER LEVELS RISE.
