.DISCUSSION...
High pressure over South Texas today and Sunday will bring
temperatures that will range from 90 near the Coastal Bend to
around 100 in the Rio Grande Plains. Minimum relative humidity
values today and Sunday will range from around 70 percent along
the Coastal Bend to 25 percent along the Rio Grande Plains. While
the Brush Country and the Rio Grande Plains will have low
humidity, the winds will remain less than 5 MPH at 20 Ft today out
of the East. Winds will pick up a bit with winds 5-10 mph Tonight
out of the Southeast which will go through Sunday.
A warming trend is expected Monday through Friday, along with
weak to moderate onshore flow and increasing moisture. No
significant precipitation expected during the period, due to the
presence of a quasi-stationary upper level high pressure system.
Low minimum relative humidity values are expected over the Rio
Grande Plains Monday through Friday. However, wind speeds are
expected to remain below the threshold for Elevated or Critical
fire weather conditions.
