.OVERVIEW...
One of the most significant outbreaks of severe weather to affect
southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle in the past
30 years occurred on the afternoon and early evening of Monday 12
June 2017. Numerous reports of tornadoes, very large hail and
damaging winds were received by the National Weather Service. As
the afternoon progressed, severe storms increased in coverage and
intensity for areas along and east of Interstate 25 moving north
and northeast across eastern Wyoming into the western Nebraska
Panhandle.

This is the second update to include three additional tornado
ratings based on the storm damage assessments from Tuesday 13 June
2017 and gathered observations in recent days. Also with this
update, the Carpenter WY tornado rating was increased to EF-2 given
additional information received. Another update will likely occur
over the next several days regarding the tornado that occurred
north of Bushnell as well likely refining current information.
