...LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOWFALL EVENT INCREASINGLY LIKELY FOR
CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY ACROSS SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND
WESTERN NEBRASKA...

FOR THE SNOWY...SIERRA MADRE AND LIKELY OVER THE NORTHERN LARAMIE
RANGE...A LONG DURATION HEAVY SNOWFALL EVENT IS LOOKING
INCREASINGLY LIKELY FOR SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...WITH POSSIBLE
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OVER THESE MOUNTAINS OF 15 TO 30 INCHES IN THE
LONG DURATION SNOWFALL EVENT.

FOR CHRISTMAS EVE...AND CHRISTMAS DAY...THE MODELS ARE NOW COMING
INTO AGREEMENT FOR A POSSIBLE 12 TO 24 HOUR SNOWFALL EVENT ACROSS
MUCH OF SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND TO A LESSER EXTENT OVER WESTERN
NEBRASKA.

OVER CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY...A WELL PRONOUNCED
DISTURBANCE ALOFT WILL MOVE ACROSS OUR REGION...WITH A BAND OF
LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW LIKELY SETTING UP SOMEWHERE OVER SOUTHERN
WYOMING AND NORTHERN COLORADO...ALTHOUGH THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS
QUITE UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME...SIX TO SEVEN DAYS AWAY.

WHILE UNCERTAINTY A WEEK AWAY IS STILL GREAT WITH MODEL
UNCERTAINTY...LOWER ELEVATIONS COULD POSSIBLY RECEIVE 1 TO 4
INCHES OF SNOW...WITH 5 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW OVER THE MOUNTAINS ON
CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE POSSIBLE SNOWFALL EVENT CLOSELY
OVER THE MOUNTAINS SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...AS WELL AS OVER
MUCH OF SOUTHEAST WYOMING FOR CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY...
