...SNOW SHOWERS WITH BLOWING SNOW EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF
SOUTHEAST WYOMING...

.AN UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM WILL MOVE OVER WYOMING TODAY WITH A COLD
FRONT PUSHING ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING. WEAK INSTABILITY
DURING THE AFTERNOON WILL CAUSE SNOW SHOWERS TO
DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND WEST OF THE LARAMIE RANGE. THESE
BANDS OF SNOW WILL COMBINE WITH GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS TO
PRODUCE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WITH SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED
VISIBILITIES. THE GREATEST IMPACTS TO TRAVEL WILL STRETCH FROM THE
INTERSTATE 80 SUMMIT TO THE SNOWY RANGE DURING THE AFTERNOON
THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING. THE CHANCE OF SNOW WILL DIMINISH BY
LATE TONIGHT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 2 AM MST THURSDAY.

* TIMING...LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY TONIGHT.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2-4 INCHES ACROSS THE LARAMIE VALLEY
  AND SOUTHERN LARAMIE RANGE. AROUND 6 INCHES IN THE SNOWY RANGE.
  AMOUNTS COULD BE LOCALLY HIGHER IN HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTH TO NORTHWEST WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH
  DURING THE AFTERNOON. BANDS OF SNOW COULD PRODUCE BRIEF MODERATE
  TO HEAVY SNOW AND REDUCE VISIBILITIES BELOW ONE HALF MILE WHEN
  COMBINED WITH GUSTY WINDS.

* IMPACTS...MOSTLY TO TRAVEL DUE TO FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.
  TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND
BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN
AREAS AND WHEN APPROACHING AND DRIVING OVER RAILROAD CROSSINGS.
