THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST THIS MORNING. THE BLIZZARD WARNING HAS BEEN
CANCELLED.

* TIMING...THROUGH 11 AM TODAY.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...WEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS
  OF 50 MPH. THE GUSTY WINDS COMBINED WITH FRESH SNOWPACK WILL
  CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WITH VISIBILITIES LESS THAN ONE
  HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...MAINLY TO TO TRAVEL. DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
  TO REMAIN POOR THROUGH THIS MORNING. THE COMBINATION OF LOW
  VISIBILITIES AND CONSIDERABLE DRIFTING SNOW WILL CREATE VERY
  HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS WITH ICY AND SNOW COVERED ROADS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW

  OF 65 MPH. THE STRONG WINDS COMBINED WITH FRESH SNOWPACK WILL
  CREATE WIDESPREAD BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH NEAR WHITEOUT
  CONDITIONS AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...MAINLY TO TRAVEL. GROUND BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE
  MOST LIKELY TO OCCUR ALONG INTERSTATE 80 NEAR ARLINGTON...OVER
  THE THE INTERSTATE 80 SUMMIT BETWEEN CHEYENNE AND LARAMIE...
  AND ON INTERSTATE 25 BETWEEN CHUGWATER AND WHEATLAND. THE
  COMBINATION OF VERY LOW VISIBILITIES AND CONSIDERABLE DRIFTING
  SNOW WILL CREATE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE TRAVEL WITH
  ICY AND SNOW COVERED ROADS.
